•Colombia has a stable democratic government and a well established middle class.

•Colombia is encouraging foreign investment and is awaiting ratification of a Free Trade Agreement with the USA.

•In the last several years, many major companies now have offices and projects or mining operations in Colombia, including RTZ, BHP Billiton, AngloGold Ashanti, Drummond Coal, Anglo American, Glencore, Votorantium Metais and Barrick Gold.

•Junior companies with projects in Colombia include Continental Gold, Colombia Goldfields, B2Gold, Au Plata Resources, Greystar Resources, Cambridge Minerals, Angostura Resources, Venatana Resources, Energentia, Sector Resources and Colcorp.
